An independent comparison of gym prices across the UK. We aren't owned by or paid by any gym, and paid placements will always be labelled.

How we get prices

Once a week we read the published membership prices on each chain's own gym pages (JD Gyms, PureGym, The Gym Group). If a page can't be read, the gym keeps its last confirmed price and is marked as not re-checked. Big unexpected changes are checked by a person before they're published.

What "first-year cost" means

The cheapest advertised monthly price × 12, plus the joining fee. It ignores first-month discounts so gyms can be compared fairly.

What "local average" means

The average starting price of the gyms we track within 3 miles, or the council area where there are only a few nearby.

Corrections and gym owners

Spotted a wrong price, or run a gym that isn't listed? Get in touch and we'll fix or add it. Independent gyms are free to list.
